Blue Flame Consulting announces the launching of the Strike It Riches Website in May 2010. www.strikeitriches.com It offers people a place to enter two sweepstakes for a chance at winning cash and/or prizes.
Strike It Riches came to Blue Flame Consulting through an RFP selection process in February 2010. They were seeking an experienced custom website design and development company in Tampa Bay to handle the design and development of their website. Blue Flame Consulting, based on their design capabilities, knowledge, and experience, was awarded the contract in March 2010.
Blue Flame Consulting worked hand-in-hand with StrikeItRiches throughout the process with constant communication being the most effect tool in deliver the final project. Through an initial need analysis to final product delivery, Blue Flame Consulting delivered a complete custom designed and developed website to StrikeItRiches. Not only did we exceed the client’s expectations, but the website was delivered within the contracted development time frame and 100% on budget.

The Tampa Bay University of Kentucky Alumni Club came to us to help get a more updated, easier to manage site in place so they could get information to their members more easily and be able to manage on their own. They requested an updated design, with some functionality to allow them to send regular newsletters to their members.
A newsletter system was setup and a large number of their emails were imported in from excel. The newsletter system also allows the users to unsubscribe if they no longer want to get the newsletter.
During the course of the project, an idea formed on showing visitors to the site what the weather difference was between Lexington, KY (obviously where the University is) and our own sunny Tampa, FL. A weather module was added to the site with data fed to it by weather.com showing the current weather conditions in Lexington, KY and Tampa, FL. I believe it was to make others jealous of the lovely Tampa weather. However, those of you in Tampa know lately it has been a bit colder than we in Florida prefer.
This site was done as an initial phase 1 type of project. The initial web presence if you would. Going forward, we hope to work with uktampabay.com to add e-commerce functionality for alumni to sign up for club events, purchase merchandise, etc. and continue to add features that will keep their alumni informed and engaged.
