Clarke Advertising provided the design and the custom development and hosting was done by Blue Flame Consulting. The comprehensive and detailed development approach to Karen’s application has made the project a complete success for both companies. Ms. Koenig is a psychotherapist, educator, eating coach, national speaker, and international author of four books. Considered one of the nation's leading experts on the psychology of eating—Ms. Koenig uses her 30 years of experience teaching chronic dieters and overeaters the skills that “normal” eaters use naturally to maintain a comfortable, healthy weight for life without dieting.
Blue Flame Consulting developed a professional and attractive Facebook Application, APPetite that allows a user to anonymously register and participate in the application. APPetite was created as an interactive version of Ms. Koenig's widely-popular "The Food and Feelings Workbook." Using similar clinical treatment and expert advice incorporated in all of Ms. Koenig's published works. APPetite is designed to help the user resolve a variety of eating issues and establish a positive, long-term relationship with food.
APPetite has many custom developed features, by Blue Flame Consulting, that allow users to truly have that interactive, ongoing experience. Users may keep a time and date stamped Journal based on a series of questions that they may continue to add to, or review, at anytime. Users may also sign up for daily notifications based on profile questions they answer. The notifications are daily motivations based on users eating habits.
